Hillside Trust Winter 2026 Outlook

by The Hillside Trust | Jan 27, 2025

The Winter 2025 Edition of Outlook is here. Topics in this issue include:

  • The Hillside Trust celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026, marking five decades of hillside conservation, environmental advocacy, public education, and the protection of nearly 1,400 acres of hillside land throughout the Cincinnati region.

  • The Trust will host its 50th Anniversary Celebration and Annual Meeting on October 21, 2026, at the Cincinnati Art Museum. The evening will include dinner, drinks, and a keynote speaker (to be announced), honoring the organization’s longevity and community impact.

  • The 6th Annual Pope Coleman Awards will take place on April 30, 2026, recognizing outstanding civic and environmental leadership. This year’s honorees include Sue Friedlander, Marilyn Wall, and Fiona the hippo, whose story highlights the power of emotional connection in conservation.

  • The Hillside Trust announces the hiring of Dan Wood, AICP, as a part-time Land Use and Environmental Planner — the organization’s first professional staff addition in over 25 years — expanding capacity for hillside development review, land management, and trail planning, including work at the Stern Preserve.
