• The Hillside Trust advises property owners to avoid quick fixes like dumping dirt or building walls without professional guidance, and instead use preventative, non-invasive measures or consult engineers.

• A proposed 48-unit housing project was unanimously denied on February 3, 2025, due to unstable slopes, landslide risks, and strong community opposition supported by expert testimony.

• The Hillside Trust’s Annual Meeting will feature Dave Gamstetter speaking on climate resiliency with green infrastructure. Seating is limited to 60 guests at the Junior League of Cincinnati.

• The 6th Annual Pope Coleman Awards will be held April 30, 2026, honoring Marlyn Wall, Sue Friedlander, and Fiona the hippo. The Trust has also raised 64% of its $215,000 fundraising goal as of August 25, 2025.
